Sherpa Software Releases V4.7 of Mail Attender.
Mail Attender version 4.7 for Microsoft® Exchange environments is now available. This new release of Mail Attender significantly improves management capabilities for Exchange 2010 and desktop PST files, allowing administrators to automatically scan PST files located on user desktops to determine the owner of the PST data and report on it. Moreover, Mail Attender has greatly enhanced support for Exchange 2010 Personal Archive folders. Previously, Mail Attender allowed administrators to add information to the archive from mailboxes and PST files; now, administrators have full control over messages in the Personal Archive. They can copy, move, delete, import or report on messages in this mail folder based on administrator-defined criteria. Mailscape Feature Pack 2 for Exchange and Mobile Device Management is Now Available.
ENow, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, announced today the release of Feature Pack 2 for their award-winning Exchange and Mobile Device Management solution, Mailscape. The new version helps companies ensure a smooth migration to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, streamlines daily IT tasks associated with e-mail system administration, and provides over 40 new reports, including mobile device usage.
Microsoft‟s latest messaging platform delivers simpler high availability and disaster recovery
solutions and provides faster and easier ways for users to communicate so that businesses can
realize productivity gains; however, the migration process can be costly and time-consuming.
Mailscape‟s reporting module provides administrators with key statistics to help them plan their
migration, clean up their environment, validate that new servers were configured correctly, and
build migration batches. Mailscape‟s One Look dashboard provides a graphical overview of the
entire messaging system, enabling both the Exchange team and help desk to reduce problemdiagnosis and resolution times. New reports allow management to reduce IT operational costs and ensure Service Level Agreements are being met. Lastly, a new monitoring feature sends a round-trip e-mail from inside the organization to a third-party account to test that external communications are delivered successfully and in a timely fashion.
“The design goals behind the latest version of Mailscape were strategically aligned with the
challenges organizations face today,” commented Jay Paul Gundotra, Principal Architect of
ENow. “Transitioning to a new messaging platform is an inherently risky process. Mailscape
reduces the risk of data loss and service interruption by monitoring both the source and target
systems, ensuring a successful upgrade. Another big challenge for companies is dealing with the
ever-increasing number of mobile devices they must support. These devices pose a security
threat if not properly managed. Our new mobile reports make it easier to keep track of what types of devices are connected to your network.”

Mailscape V4.5 Delivers Customizable Reporting and Proactive Monitoring
Mailscape is a complete systems management tool that combines all the key elements for Exchange monitoring, reporting and administration into a single, affordable solution. The highly-anticipated launch of V4.5 delivers customizable reporting that gives administrators complete flexibility in not only how they create reports, but also how they disseminate the information. Traditional reporting products only allow you to email a report, resulting in static data, but with Mailscape V4.5‟s Personalized Dashboards, each key role in your organization can have access to only the reports they need to see via our one-look dashboard that automatically self-generates.
In addition, our proactive monitoring capabilities go beyond traditional tools that only monitor basic components, such as service availability and uptime. Mailscape V4.5 performs regular health checks of all the vital components in your messaging system, such as mail flow, OWA, and BlackBerry, to ensure they are functioning optimally.
"One of the many challenges faced by the reporting industry is developing software that is customizable enough to meet the unique needs every organization has," remarks Curtis Blake, ENow‟s Chief Technology Officer. "The beauty of our solution is that it gives you that customization, yet remains simple enough so that everyone can use it without training."
"The graphical display of data makes it easy enough that the Help Desk can quickly diagnose the cause of a problem and take a more active role in monitoring the system. Plus, the customizable reporting makes it easy to create very complex queries," states Lasse Pettersson, Exchange MVP. "Overall, Mailscape is a very impressive solution, and one that sets itself apart from the competition."

Exchange Email Management and Monitoring made easy.
Mailscape v 4.4 has just been released. Mailscape V4.4 is comprised of three integrated, complementary modules that combine to automate and simplify the repetitive manual tasks necessary to keep the email flowing:
I. One Look Dashboard for Exchange Monitoring
Mailscape’s One Look Dashboard is an intuitive, visual approach to monitoring Exchange.
The One Look Dashboard graphically presents real-time data on all the vital information that directly impacts Exchange uptime. The beauty of our visual display is that it points you towards a solution even as it alerts you to a problem—it does
not leave you adrift to figure out an issue’s cause and its solution.
II. Compass for Load Balancing & Reporting
Mailscape Compass for Load Balancing & Reporting gives you a ‘bird’s eye view’ into your entire Exchange environment.
• Proactively advise senior management of future Exchange storage needs.
• Provide help desk staff with the information they need to improve the level of service to your end users—and at the same time cross-train them to one day become Exchange administrators.
• Plan for and prioritize Exchange maintenance tasks.
• Easily distribute mailboxes across your Exchange databases.
• Quickly and easily view vital information about your users and their mailboxes—Who is
approaching a warning, prohibit send, or locked out state? Who has the largest mailboxes?
How are your mailboxes distributed per OU, per storage group, per database?
III. Access Tracker for Client Monitoring (Coming Soon)
Mailscape’s Access Tracker gives you the ability to determine how your users are accessing
Exchange and whether someone is attempting to gain unauthorized access to a user’s mailbox:
• What versions of Outlook are currently being used?
• Which users are utilizing cache mode?
• Who is logging in via Outlook Web Access?
• Who is accessing selected users’ mailboxes?
