Do you Want to Automate Your Investigative Tasks for PST's, Exchange Mailboxes, Public Folders and Email Archive Repositories?

Sherpa Software, a leading e-discovery and email archiving Software Company, announces today the release of Discovery Attender version 3.5. It is a tool designed to automate investigative tasks in PST files, Exchange mailboxes, public folders and common storage areas. This new release also includes such as the ability to search Sherpa Software’s Archive Attender archived data as a searchable mail store. The updated Discovery Attender also includes a Combined Exception Log, helping users organize exceptions encountered during the search process. Details about all exceptions are stored in one location, which eases the review of electronically stored information (ESI) by allowing a user to collect, group, review and export these items for further processing.

  • Searching ESI is becoming increasingly important to organizations whether they come to be involved in litigation, get subpoenaed to produce electronic evidence, or are conducting an internal investigation. Discovery Attender 3.5 helps them quickly find and produce ESI with new features including.

  • Text Viewer with Hit Highlighting – A new, integrated text viewer presents files and messages with keyword hits revealed as highlighted text; no additional applications need to be installed.

  • Combined Exception Log – Details about all exceptions, including parsing issues, encrypted files and access errors, are combined into one single interactive list. From this list, users are able to view all errors and sort, filter and export items that could not be searched, as well as customize exported file names.

  • Export to EML – A new action has been added allowing users to export messages from PSTs, Mailboxes or Archives to the widely used EML message format.

  • Wizard Interface – The Advanced Results Filter and Deduplication screens have been simplified to use a wizard-based setup; making customization easier, while reducing errors and clarifying criteria.

  • Search Archive Attender Archives – Discovery Attender fully integrates the search of Sherpa Software Archive Attender data stores with all available e-mail criteria.

"We are extremely pleased about the new features available in the latest release of Discovery Attender," said Marta Farensbach, product manager, Discovery Attender for Exchange. "This new version helps customers solve the real challenges they encounter during a search, such as handling password protected, encrypted or other non-accessible documents. Now customers will be able to collect, review, and most importantly, export these items for further processing."

Discovery Attender is designed to be as non-invasive as possible and reduce the time and cost associated with e-discovery. Easy to install and use, Discovery Attender assists IT, litigation support and legal teams in searching live data stores and maintains a chain of custody by effectively gathering and producing information in a timely, defensible manner. The system offers a fast, secure and simple interface to execute document discovery requests with robust audit trail logging and detailed reporting.

“Many of the enhancements found in Discovery Attender version 3.5 are the direct result of customer feedback and requests,” said Kevin Ogrodnik, president, Sherpa Software. “We are especially excited to offer our customers new features linking Archive Attender to Discovery Attender, easing the discovery process by allowing our customers to search archived and live/legacy e-mail from one location.”
